Drama kicked off on social media ahead of Love Island 's long-awaited movie night as viewers were left on tenterhooks after a technical blunder. Voice-over Iain Stirling announced the returned of the Love Island Film Festival on Friday and ITV2 viewers at home were on the edge of their seats this Sunday, July 7, 2024, as they tuned into the reality show. Tension is, once again, at an all-time high this Sunday as islanders will find out what their respective partners have been up to during their stays in Casa Amor .

But while TV watchers were able to catch up on the show without any issue, online viewers were sent into a frenzy when streaming platform ITVX showed an unwelcome message, mere seconds ahead of the episode. Love Island 2024 has begun. Boots has launched a new collab covering everything you need for villa life, with must-haves ranging from fragrance to skincare plus essential beauty gadgets.

The message read: "Programme not available on this platform" and it was enough for many reality TV fans to share enraged comments on X, otherwise known as Twitter . "How has @ITVX shut down on the #loveisland movie night", one viewer wrote. Another added: "It’s movie night on #Loveisland and itvx is down.

" A third commented: "What the hell?! I just turned on @ITVX to watch #LoveIsland and I'm getting this message...

" Another desperate TV watcher fumed: " itv ??? FIX UP i got movie night to watch Love Island." A fifth penned: "So @ITVX what is this about hello it’s MOVIE NIGH.
