Love Island have reportedly signed up a Welsh beauty days before the new series officially kicks off – and two ex-islanders are already fans. Nicole Samuel, said to be an account manager from Aberdare in South Wales, has apparently bagged herself a spot in this year’s line-up of the summer series of the ITV2 dating show, which is set to start on Monday June 3, with Maya Jama taking over hosting duties again. Though she doesn’t give much away on her Instagram bio, we know Nicole is 24 years old and a self-described ‘Welshy’.

She regularly posts snaps of herself in bikinis on holiday and dressed up on glam nights out – and she already has a few famous faces amongst her 11,400 followers. Former Love Island and professional Welsh footballer Scott van-der-Sluis, who starred in the summer 2023 series of the show, is following her. He entered as a bombshell on day 11 and lasted until day 52 when he was dumped alongside Abi Moores.

The 23-year-old later went on to star in Love Island USA and spin-off show Love Island Games, making him one of the show’s most famous contestants. Another Love Island boy – Bayley Mummery – is also following Nicole. But fans didn’t get to see as much of the 26-year-old operations manager from Surrey as the former bombshell only lasted four days in the villa last year, entering Casa Amor on day 28 and being dumped from the island on day 32.

ITV Love Island's Mitch Taylor teases return for a third time as new series' start date announced.
