ITTN’s Julia Labedz joined a crew of media representatives on the inaugural Aer Lingus A330 flight from Dublin to Denver last Friday afternoon, celebrating the new direct route. The Broadmoor Hotel Spanning 5,000 acres of luxury and breath-taking views of the Pikes Peak Region, The Broadmoor is the world’s longest-running Forbes 5-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Resort, a distinction evident upon arrival. Originally a dairy farm turned casino and then resort, The Broadmoor exudes an elevated western ambience, with chandeliers, rich red rugs, and western art enhancing the beauty of Colorado and the American West.
The resort features over 780 rooms in its main section. Julia stayed in the South Tower, with views of the mountains and another area of the resort, which houses the Ristorante Del Lago, one of the Broadmoor’s 20 restaurants. A short yet pleasant walk from the main lobby to the South Tower, is lined with numerous boutique.
The resort offers a wide variety of items, from artisan chocolates to luxury jewellery. Particularly notable is Yarid’s Boutique , with its unique selection of accessories, shoes, bags, and clothing. The shop assistants were exceptionally helpful, and the overall service at the hotel is impeccable.
Downtown Colorado The first rays of the rising sun in Colorado Springs illuminate Pikes Peak, its snow-capped summit visible from Julia’s room. Her early start for a day of activities in Colorado Springs was accompanied by a warm, orange glow envelopi.
