Villarreal: We’ve got another great episode with two incredible interviews. Shawn, why don’t you tell us who you spoke with? Finnie: I spoke with the multitalented Aja Naomi King. We really, really know her from “How to Get Away With Murder,” but she’s starring in “Lessons and Chemistry” opposite Brie Larson.

Have you ever seen the show yet? Villarreal: Yes. Finnie: To me, it’s a show about dreams and identity. It follows Elizabeth Zott, who is Brie Larson’s character, who has dreams and aspirations to be a scientist, but society is basically saying, “You don’t belong here as a woman.

” And it just follows an interesting time in our American culture in the 1950s, ‘60s. And Aja’s character, to me, is so interesting because she has dreams of her own, but she’s also kind of thrust into protecting her community and she forms this relationship with Elizabeth. .
