The eatery was opened in 2018 with the aim of providing a local neighbourhood café in the village.

The idea behind the name ‘Café de Saligao’ was to reflect the absence of cafes in Saligao, at the time of its inception. But, since then, it has grown significantly, say the owners. Step into Cafe de Saligao , and you will be be greeted by a warm ambience that reflects Goa's captivating coastal charm.



The café's beautiful murals of flamingos and lush leaves create a refreshing and inviting ambience. With cozy seating options, both, indoors and in a charming outdoor area, the café exudes a relaxed vibe. The outdoor space, enhanced by white furniture and surrounding greenery, beautifully elevates the atmosphere.

Cafe de Saligao caters to both sweet and savoury palates. Indulge in their delightful cakes, cup cakes, pastries and the traditional Goan dessert , Serradurra . For a savoury treat, explore their menu of baguettes, sandwiches and other tempting Goan snacks.

Soniya says, “A must try at the café are the chicken cheese sandwiches which are our bestseller. Along with that, I would recommend trying our chocolate truffle cake, eclairs and Berliners.” She adds that the best time to try these swee.
