SIMON Harris has joked about having a bone to pick with Taylor Swift. The quip was in reference to the star singing about taking a stone from a beach in Co Wicklow , with the Taoiseach declaring: “I want my pebble back.” The pop superstar sings about “a pebble that we picked up last July.

.. Does it ever miss Wicklow sometimes?” in her song Sweet Nothing.

Asked about the huge Aviva Stadium concerts today , the Taoiseach joked: “I have a bone to pick with Taylor Swift actually. We're delighted to have her here in Ireland but she did take a pebble from a beach in Greystones. "She sings about it in Sweet Nothing, about Greystones - my home town.

"She does ponder in the song, does the pebble ever miss Wicklow , and sure everyone would miss Wicklow, wouldn't they? "But she's very welcome back to Co Wicklow at any time - I'm not sure whether she'll have time to visit this time. But she's very welcome. "I'll be delighted to show her the location of many more pebbles that we have in the beautiful town of Greystones.

" Speaking to reporters in Brussels , the Fine Gael leader said he won’t be going to any of the Swift gigs this weekend. He said: “On a serious level, whilst I won't be going, I don’t have a ticket, I am really conscious that actually it's a moment of great excitement for many, many, many people right across the country. "I actually think this is going to be a great weekend for our capital city between the GAA matches, Longitude in Marley Park, Shania Twain .
