There has been a lot of hype online about Suri's sustainable electric toothbrush . Promising to be "the last toothbrush you'll ever buy" and endorsed by clean-living icon Gwyneth Paltrow , we decided to put the quality of its clean - to the test Since reviewing the Suri electric toothbrush for Mirror Choice back in February, Amazon has discounted its full Suri package from £95 to £71.25 , and the brush-only for £56, down from £75 as part of flash sales for its flagship Prime Day event.

Here, we take a closer look at its green credentials. "Every toothbrush you’ve ever owned still exists." Four billion toothbrushes are thrown away each year according to Suri - enough to circle the earth 12 times.

That's why they've made an electric toothbrush that can be fixed and recycled. Suri wants to get rid of "needless innovation, outrageously wasteful packaging, and millions more plastic components and batteries that will never be recycled". They're a brand with a goal: "a design that delivers an exceptional clean for your teeth with a minimal impact on our planet".

Compared to my trusty old Oral-B Vitality Pro toothbrush , which usually retails at £50, and is currently half-price at just £25 from Boots , the Suri is in a league of its own. The Oral-B has given me a consistent clean over the years, but the battery life is starting to dwindle, and now more or less lives on its charging stand, or requires a full charge every two days. Disappointingly, you cannot replace the batter.
