WESTLIFE star Kian Egan has paid a touching birthday tribute to his late dad. The Sligo singer and his bandmates kicked off their With Love tour in China last week. Kian's dad sadly passed away in 2009 after he lost his battle with cancer.
During Westlife's gig in Beijing, Kian paid a touching tribute to his father Kevin on his birthday. Sitting alongside his bandmates on stage, Kian said: "As Nicky said, sadly we've all lost our dads. "But today in particular for my dad is a very special day.
Today would be my dad's birthday. "So I just want to say I love you dad - this song is a very beautiful song and a very special, precious song. "Please sing along if you know it, my dad is a 79-year-old so this is for him, this is called My Hero.
" As Westlife performed the beautiful song, pictures of each band member and their dad's appeared on the screen behind them. Kian shared the heart-warming clip to his Instagram story and wrote: "Happy Birthday Dad..
. Missing you every day." The singer's wife Jodie Albert recently shared some sweet family snaps as they celebrated their son reaching a major milestone.
Kian and his Hollyoaks star wife and their three sons Koa, Zekey and Cobi all stepped out in style for the special day. The couples middle child Zekey made his Holy Communion. Jodi took to her Instagram stories to give her fans an insight into the family's celebrations.
