Al Ruddy, the renowned , has sadly following a "brief illness", according to reports. The esteemed producer breathed his last on May 25 at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Centre after a short illness, a family spokesperson confirmed today. The Canadian-American film and producer is celebrated for producing the 1972 cult classic The Godfather, and he's also remembered for his work on Million Dollar Baby in 2004.
Both of these projects earned him the Academy Award for Best Picture. Dexter Fletcher, the director of The Offer, shared a heartfelt statement about Al following his passing. "Al was truly one of the great Hollywood mavericks," he said.
