Kapu Tī Productions producer Michelle Lee(Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu) says HŌIHO RIDING ONcelebrates the uniqueness of Māori horseculture. “Horses are an expression of tinorangatiratanga. They connect us to the whenua, and towhakapapa,” says Michelle Lee.



“They take us to placeswhere we otherwise couldn’t go – and there’s somethingincredibly special about the rhythm of ahorse.” “HŌIHO RIDING ON, shows lifestyles thatmany of our city-based whānau today can only dream about– but the simple truth is, every Māori whānau has ahorse story. “And there’s another truth, too.
