STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — For the first time in the history of Atlantic City, a casino will host a formal flag-raising ceremony in honor of Pride Month — a celebration of diverse identity, equity and inclusion, camaraderie and community spirit.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will host the first-of-its-kind event and raise the pride flag on Saturday, June 8 at 11:45 a.m. following the AC Pride’s Third Annual Rainbow Ride & March at 10 a.
m., which the casino also sponsors. The historic commemorative will feature a special guest hailing from Staten Island: three-time Daytime Emmy winner and writer Anthony Wilkinson.

“Through our partnership with AC Pride we are supporting the third annual Rainbow Ride and March at 10 a.m. on Saturday and then the flag raising ceremony--our launch to Pride Month here in Atlantic City,” said Mike Sampson, general manager of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
“We are very happy to take part in these festivities.” Sampson explained the Rainbow Ride and March will terminate at the Hard Rock followed by the flag-raising event featuring remarks from Wilkinson, Hard Rock leadership and the organization Garden State Equality — another one of Hard Rock’s partn.
