Inaugurated on May 10, 2024, this service is set to transform the travel experience, making Lakshadweep more accessible than ever before. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in January 2024 put the spotlight on this pristine island chain, stirring both national interest and regional curiosity, particularly from the Maldives. Parali: Cutting Travel Time and Enhancing Comfort Previously, the sea journey to Lakshadweep from the mainland took a cumbersome 13 hours. The introduction of Parali has drastically reduced this time to just seven hours during its trial run, successfully transporting 160 passengers from Lakshadweep to Mangalore’s old port.



This significant reduction in travel time promises to enhance accessibility and convenience for tourists and residents alike.
