Dr. Basel Batheesh has a wonderful balcony on the roof of his hangout in the heart of a cherry orchard in the northern Golan Heights. As a pleasant breeze blew and we sat on a sofa sipping bitter coffee and noshing on large sweet cherries, we concluded that no place on earth is more beautiful.
