Friday, June 28, 2024 The Maldives has always been a dream destination for travelers worldwide, and with the recent “Explore Maldives” roadshow, the Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) and Manta Air aim to reignite the interests of Indian travelers. Held at the prestigious Shangri-La Bengaluru on June 26, 2024, the event successfully attracted over 130 agents and media personnel, showcasing the Maldives’ appeal through captivating presentations and dynamic networking sessions. The “Explore Maldives” roadshow was a full-day event designed to promote the Maldives as a top holiday destination for Indian travelers.

The event saw participation from major hospitality chains in the Maldives, including resorts, guest houses, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), travel agents, tour operators, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travel organizers from India. Key participants included notable industry leaders such as the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) Karnataka Chapter and the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) Karnataka Chapter. Their involvement provided much-needed momentum to reignite interest among Indian travelers seeking the Maldives as their preferred holiday destination.



The event was inaugurated by Mr. Zihuny Rasheed, Deputy Managing Director of MMPRC. In his opening remarks, Mr.

Rasheed emphasized the importance of building bridges between the cultures of India and the Maldives, highlighting the close neighbor.
