Instead of taking screenshots of Hellblade 2’s beautiful landscapes, many fans are using photomode to snap hilariously unflattering images of Senua. Ninja Theory’s Hellblade 2 came out this week and while its questionable how successful it is in terms of gameplay and storytelling, it has possibly the best console graphics ever . The action adventure sequel’s depiction of 9th century Iceland is stunning and fans can really take it all in with the game’s photomode, which can be used at any time.
Many fans haven’t used photomode as intended though, as the Hellblade subreddit is filling up with bizarre screenshots that makes the game and its main character, Senua, look very silly. We’ve scoured through the Hellblade subreddit and it’s a close contest between posts that show weird pictures of the game and posts that are capturing the beauty of Hellblade 2. The most popular post is titled ‘Photomode in Hellblade 2 is spectacular.
..’ and shows Senua with a rare smile, in her quest for revenge.
It gets worse before it gets better, as Reddit user Elryuk captured the most unflattering screenshots, in a post called : ‘I just can’t with this photomode, absolutely love it.’ With the caption ‘Hellblade 2 is beautiful,’ Hellblade 2 fan TheGreatOzy posted whatever this is. Not everyone was looking for a laugh though, with Reddit posters Fragilemetal and RobustCannibal using photomode as intended and capturing the beautiful graphics in Hellblade 2.
