Tottenham ’s pre-season preparations took them to Edinburgh on Wednesday evening to face Scottish Premiership side Hearts . Much of the attention was focused on new signing Archie Gray , with the multi-position, multi-talented 18-year-old handed a start in central defence by Ange Postecoglou. Archie Gray knew when he agreed to join Tottenham from Leeds United that he would spend time switching between central midfield and right-back throughout his first season. The 18-year-old made 44 appearances for Leeds in the Championship during the 2023-24 campaign and although most of them were at full-back he prefers playing further forward.
