Tributes have been paid to a three teenagers killed in a tragic car crash . Sophie Bates, 17, was with friends Dafydd Hûw Craven-Jones, 18, and Morgan Jones, 17, when the Ford Ka they were travelling in ploughed into a tree in Penkridge, Staffordshire. All three tragically lost their lives, while another 17-year-old girl was seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Saturday, but rugby teammates Dafydd and Morgan, both from Wrexham, were tragically pronounced dead. Sophie and the other teenage girl were both rushed to hospital, where Sophie sadly died on Tuesday night. The other girl has since been discharged from hospital.
Stafford college student Sophie, who had been a backseat passenger in the car, was described by family as "witty", "full of fun" and kind-hearted.
