THE young Limerick woman who lost her life in a horror dog attack on Tuesday night has been remembered as a "kind, gentle and beautiful girl". Tragic Nicole Morey was mauled to death by her dogs - all of which were restricted breeds - outside her home in Ballyneety after she returned from celebrating her 23rd birthday . The four mutts — understood to be two XL Bullies and two ­Staffordshire Bull Terriers — were “extremely aggressive” at the ­property when first responders arrived around 11pm.

The Regional Armed Support Unit shot the XL Bully believed to have been responsible for the incident as it continued to pose a threat to emergency workers.
