A Celebration of Life for Hal Mark Schrock, DDS, age 70, of Gulfport, Miss., who passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11 a.m.
at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 9 a.m.
until 11 a.m., service time, at McDonald Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. John Pigott will officiate the service. Hal Mark Schrock was born on July 7, 1953, and passed peacefully to his eternal home surrounded by family on June 21, 2024, at his residence in Gulfport, Miss.
Hal Mark was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in January of 2016. Together, he and his wife Pam started on a journey with a positive attitude to fight back by stepping outside the box of the usual regimen by combining both traditional and nontraditional treatments. This bold move resulted in adding extra years of quality life for the couple.
They were able to enjoy overseas travel and adventures in ballooning, snow sports, and hiking in beautiful, mountainous scenery. Hal Mark continued to be an avid runner. He relished a great sail with their friends or a fast and furious ride in a motor boat.
He owned his own plane and was passionate about flying and taking others along for the ride. Not only did Hal enjoy these activities, the man could sing! He sang Elvis better than Elvis! He even had an Elvis costume to dress the part, and yes, he had the moves down, too. His signature laugh rang out at get-togethers with old .
