STRENGTHEN STRANDS Panting revealed going longer between washes can improve hair and scalp by retaining natural oils. She said that having more sebum protects, moisturizes, and strengthens hair leading to less breakage and a less brittle feel. “Training your scalp to go longer between washes involves gradually adjusting your hair care routine and giving your scalp time to adapt,” she said.
The haircare expert shared two tips for extending wash intervals. “If you currently wash your hair every day, start by washing it every other day,” she said. “Slowly increase the interval between washes by a day each week or every few weeks.
