CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians pitching rotation appears to be at a crossroads. Gavin Williams does not appear in the Triple-A rotation at Columbus, leading to speculation that he could have suffered a setback with his sore elbow or that he might be in line to start for the Guardians later this week. Ben Lively returned to the club after undergoing tests Monday for soreness in his lower and upper body.

On Tuesday’s podcast, Paul Hoynes and Joe Noga look at what Cleveland’s options are if Williams and Lively are lost for any length of time. They also discuss the latest MLB draft news with top prospects Charlie Condon and Travis Bazzana concluding their college careers in the last few days. Joe Noga (00:14): Welcome back to the Cleveland Baseball Talk podcast.

I’m Joe Noga, joined by Paul Hos Hoey. You’re down in Cincinnati for the opener of the Ohio Cup series. Guardians versus Reds in Cincinnati, ac Great American Ballpark tonight, two games down there, and then they’ll finish up later on the season when they play two in Cleveland.

But we’ll get into the history and the standout performances from head-to-head matchups between the Reds and the Guardians a little bit later. Right off the top, we need to talk about the latest news on Cleveland’s pitching rotation. We got us, we noticed a tweet from Guardian’s Insider, which is Bart Swains Twitter account, and he sent out the minor league pitching rotations for the week, beginning with tonight in Columbus.

Joey.
