MOURNERS lined the walls of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mullahorn, Co Cavan this afternoon to pay tribute to a popular dad-of-four who died in a workplace accident. Adrian 'Aidie' Sheridan from Kilcogy, Co. Cavan , was laid to rest today after he sadly lost his life when he fell from a height during a construction-related incident at a house near his home on Tuesday.
He was rushed to hospital following the fall from the roof of a house but passed away from his injuries on Wednesday morning. Adrian is sadly missed by his "heartbroken wife" Gemma, children Olly, Jake, Danny and Joey, parents Pat and Carmel, brother Paul and sisters Tracy, Claire, Tricia, Sarah, and Mary. The young man is also sadly missed by his parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and "a large circle of close friends".
During the funeral ceremony on Saturday morning, symbols of the Mullahoran man's life were brought to the alter to symbolise "the loves of his life." A family picture, a hammer to symbolise his love for his trade, a Mullahoran jersey, a betting slip and a picture of their family-run pub were brought to the alter. His brother Paul spoke at the church to remember his only "darling brother.
