Good Morning Britain 's Susanna Reid was left distracted by a detail at Simon Cowell's home on Wednesday's show. During the latest instalment, the ITV chat show aired a pre-recorded interview with Richard Arnold and Simon, 64, which took place at the music mogul's lavish and 'lovely' abode. However, Susanna, 53, was quick to ask: "Did you have to take your shoes off?" to which Richard, 54, admitted: "I did have to take my shoes off as respect, of course!" Intrigued, Susanna then asked: "Did he provide indoor shoes or slippers?" with Richard responding: "He provided homemade cookies made by his chef, nice touch!" Meanwhile, co-host Ed Balls asked: "Did you go bare feet?" with Richard replying: "Not bare feet but I didn't have the best socks on so I apologise if anyone's disturbed!", he added of the home: "It's a lovely crib, beautiful.

However, after the clip played, Ed admitted he was disappointed he couldn't see Richard's socks to which GMB then showed a grab from the interview with Richard's socks on full display. Yet Susanna was left distracted as she spotted a detail and pointed out: "Hang on a moment, so he [Simon] wears shoes but insists guests take their shoes off?" to which Richard said: "The devil's in the detail, I mean, it is his gaff!", the presenter added: "I really wanted to stay, I felt right at home there!"
