A stunning video shows dolphins playing next to a lifeboat. RNLI crew, based in , captured the moment on Sunday, June 16 where the dolphins were spotted in Liverpool Bay. In a description on the video, the volunteers said the mammals surrounded the lifeboat and began swimming alongside it.
The dolphins rode the boat's bow wave - the wave that forms at the bow of a ship when it moves through the water - and "played" in its wake. Crew members said it was a "large pod of bottlenose dolphins". A spokesperson added: "The curious cetaceans surrounded the lifeboat and began swimming alongside, riding the boat's bow wave and playing in its wake.
After capturing this incredible footage, the lifeboat quickly moved on from the area to continue crew training and to let the dolphins feed in peace." The footage showed the dolphins clearly in view, jumping alongside and in front of the boat. This isn't the first time dolphins were spotted in Merseyside.
