"I had people from all over the world come up to me and speak with me. There were people from the Netherlands and also Canada who came over for a chat. "There were some bits that were a lot harder than I expected.
I certainly started to feel it by the end." Dave was very lucky with the weather during the long trek north but on the final day the heavens opened. However, even the rainfall didn't wipe the smile of the 39-year-old's face.
He explained: "I almost had beautiful weather from start to finish. "On my final day it was absolutely pouring it down, so when I arrived at the finish line near Inverness Castle I was soaked through. "But to be honest I couldn't care less, it was tremendous to arrive there.
I don't have any plans to do something like this again but I enjoyed.
