LEOMINSTER — Staff at Manor on the Hill are collecting school supplies through July 18 that will make their way to young students in Grenada. Manor Receptionist Erin Sikorski was inspired to offer to help with the endeavor after learning that a co-worker was buying school supplies out of her own pocket for kids in her home country. “When I heard that she was spending her own money to buy school supplies for 50 kids in her community, I was so touched and thought that we at the Manor can help her reach her goal without her spending all her own money on this big, selfless project,” Sikorski said.

“We decided to hold a school supply drive at the Manor, and I’ve been trying to fundraise as well to pay for her shipping costs.” People interested in donating can drop off new or gently used school supplies and backpacks at the front desk at Manor on the Hill , the assisted living community and adult day care facility located at 450 N. “I knew we could all chip in and help her out,” the longtime S.
