A gardener has shared an expert hack to make your plants grow quicker, which has since become a hit online. Gardening enthusiast Carmen Johnston shared her unique trick on Facebook for boosting your plants' growth using a homemade fertiliser. The unusual method involved using banana peel water, with the residue from the fruit said to have 'transformed' parts of her garden, including a big increase in herb growth.
The hack has also proven beneficial for growing flowers, vegetables, and tomatoes. Taking to her Facebook page, Carmen said: "I want to share a tip with everyone. I am feeding them with banana peel water.

It's full of potassium and more. You can use it on veggies, flowers, herbs. Does not need to be refrigerated.
I keep a jug going all the time and keep adding water as I use it up. I also throw in peels as I eat them." She then added: "As fresh peels are added, old ones turn brown and can be discarded.
This formulation makes for an excellent organic fertiliser. It works wonders on veggies, herbs, flowers and tomatoes. I am currently also using it on my green pepper," reports the Mirror .
