FURIOSA star Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed how the production team of the new action film utilized artificial intelligence to make another actress look like her. On Tuesday, the movie star appeared on Live with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos , where she blew the hosts away with her revelations. It happened after Kelly, 53, mentioned that another actress with a striking resemblance to Anya, 28, was cast in the film.
Anya explained that while it might appear that way on screen, the stars actually didn't share many physical similarities. "We don't actually look that much alike. It's AI, which is really crazy," Anya admitted, referencing actress, Alyla Browne, who portrayed the younger version of her character.
She added that the creator and director, George Miller, wanted a seamless transition between the two Furiosa's and using AI was the best way to do that. Kelly looked on with her mouth agape, completely dumbfounded over how technology made the character's transformation so lifelike. Anya continued, "They were able to composite our faces together, and it works on a scale, so at the beginning of the movie, it's 35 percent my face, and then it goes all the way up to 80 [percent].
" Mark, 53, was just as astonished as his wife, responding, "Wow," while Kelly, still in disbelief, replied, "You're kidding!" Anya agreed that it was an unbelievable simulation, and it measured up to the director's expectations. Furiosa is the fifth installment in the Mad Max saga, premiering in theater.
