The funeral of a "beautiful and beloved" daughter will take place next week after her sudden death that devastated family and friends. Caren Williams died suddenly in Abersoch on June 21, aged just 33. It prompted an outpouring of tributes from those who knew her.

She was described as the "life and soul of the party" who was a "friend to all". A Go Fund Me page set up in her memory has raised nearly £5,000 - with the money to go to mental health and domestic abuse charities. There will be a public service at Llanbeblig Church, Caernarfon at 11am followed by a private committal service at Bangor Crematorium. Caren, formerly of Dinas, Llanwnda, was described as the "beautiful and beloved daughter of Colin and Liz and much loved sister of her proud brothers Carwyn and Dylan; dear sister-in-law of Ffion and Kelly, loving aunt of Eli, Celt, Loti, Theo and Elodie, and adored niece and cousin." The family added that she was "also a treasured and loyal friend who will be affectionately remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her".

The funeral is family flowers only, but donations in memory of Caren will be gratefully accepted and shared between mental health and domestic abuse charities yet to be decided upon. Enquiries to Roberts & Owen, 15 Ba.
