In an online fundraiser launched Sunday , the father of a 15-year-old girl who was shot and killed in Lowell on Friday described her as a “beautiful young lady” with the “most beautiful soul” and said her death was her parents’ “worst fear.” Scott Dickey launched the fundraiser to support his family after the death of his daughter, Ahliana, on Friday. in the GoFundMe, Dickey wrote that he and the girl’s mother, Stephanie Wetherbee, had “faced the worst fear in our lives.

” “One of our children was brutally taken from us,” he wrote. “I can’t believe we have to stomach this and bring our minds to write something like this. Our family is hurting during this horrible tragedy.

No parent should have to burry [sic] their kid. In the fundraiser, Dickey called for justice for his daughter, calling her killer, a “monster” and a “coward” who “took an innocent life.” No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

“We thank you in advance, prayers for our family, please, for strength!! And that this monster, this coward is found immediately. Ahliana needs JUSTICE and we need to be her voice!!” Dickey wrote. The fundraiser’s goal is set at $20,000 and as of Monday afternoon, it had raised more than $5,700 on 81 donations.

Dickey said donations of any size would help his family. “We are reaching out for any help, anything at all means a lot! Even just one dollar from anyone, and if not, please share our baby girl’s tragedy and get.
