A fundraiser for a much-loved Coventry boy who was killed in a 'hit-and-run' has reached an astonishing £42,000. Keaton Slater died after being struck by a BMW on Radford Road. Young Keaton, who went to Cardinal Newman Catholic School, was killed as he crossed Radford Road near Aldi .
He suffered catastrophic injuries and died at the scene, West Midlands Police said. Donations have flooded in as the city rallies together in the wake of the tragic events that unfolded on Friday (June 14). Over 2,800 people have contributed to the fundraising effort which has now hit £42,031.

Customers have been asked to make a small donation which will be added to the funds already raised on JustGiving .
