FAYETTEVILLE — Jessup (Ga.) Wayne County Class of 2025 four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace has a long list of colleges recruiting him including Arkansas. Wallace, 6-1, 210, didn’t really know what to expect when he visited Arkansas this weekend, but he left very impressed.

“This is my first time being in Arkansas and it was everything I expected,” Wallace said. “It was beautiful. The campus was good, the coaches was good.

Everybody was good.” Wallace talked about the highlight of the weekend. “Really the family feeling,” Wallace said.

“This was my first time and me, my mom and brother loved it. It felt like home.” Sam Pittman also was one of the reasons his mother was so impressed with Arkansas.

“How the coaches were involved,” Coach Pittman. “Him being the head coach. Not many head coaches are involved but him and all the coaches wives were around.

” Another coach that had a previous tie of sorts to Wallace is Travis Williams, the defensive coordinator. He explained his connection to Williams, who would be his position coach if he came to the Razorbacks. “That’s my guy,” Wallace said.

“My brother was committed to him at Auburn and that didn’t work out so I guess the Lord led me and him somewhere for a reason.” Williams energy and excitement for the job is another aspect that caught Wallace’s attention. “No, that’s my dawg,”Wallace said.

“On and off the field, he’s the same. When my brother committed to him three of four year.
