“With the devastation caused by forest fires and disease and infestations in the forest, we want to help rehabilitate the forests. It helps reduce the effects of climate change and preserve the natural beauty of our area.” This year, the Eureka Woman’s Club’s waffle breakfast fundraiser raised net proceeds of nearly $7,500, which were to be divided among four recipients: the Area 1 Agency on Aging, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Humboldt, the Eureka Woman’s Club kitchen update and Penny Pines.
