WORTHINGTON — The For Camila Clothing Boutique opened in April in the former Java Nau building on Oxford Street and offers clothing for children from newborn to age five. Store owner Maria Peters said she was inspired to offer children’s clothes in a community she considered to be lacking such apparel. “Seeing the lack of clothing for children in our area is what inspired me to open a business,” she said.

“We don’t have a lot of businesses in our area that currently carry infant clothes specifically. I think that’s what sets (For Camila) apart.” Despite the store being named “For Camila,” Peters is a mother of two boys with no daughters of her own.

That’s kind of where it originated.” ADVERTISEMENT Being located in what was once a drive-thru only business, Peters likes the location because of its manageable size for a new business owner and the traffic it sees in its location. She said she has even used its drive-thru windows.

“At the time I was looking (for a space), I wanted something that would be manageable for me as far as size,” she said. "I felt like this was a small enough size to start off at, as well as good exposure with it being located on Oxford Street. We have a drive-thru window, making it more convenie.
