The star of This Morning had been enjoying a holiday on the picturesque Greek island of Symi , when he failed to return from a beach trip, prompting his wife Clare to report him missing. The incident occurred on Wednesday, while the family were having a day out - around 1pm, Michael left his companions at Saint Nikolas Beach, informing them he was heading back to their accommodation in Symi Town.



However, the 67-year-old disappeared during the two-mile walk. Greek officials are now collaborating in an extensive search to find the well-known medical expert. A broadcaster based in the Greek capital gave the latest information on the rescue mission, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.

This update coincides with the announcement that drones are being used by Greek authorities to scour the beautiful island for any sign of the missing individual, despite the imminent threat of extreme heat today (Friday) reports the Mirror .
