Jonathan Debnam, 14, was a dedicated army cadet who wanted eventually to work for the Disasters Emergency Committee to help those in emergency situations. His family have paid tribute to him. “We are truly devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved son,” they said.

The accident happened on Thursday on the A600 High Road just outside Shortstown where Jonathan lived, near Bedford.
