The Gold Star families whose loved ones were killed received a standing ovation as they took the stage to blast Biden's handling of the chaotic withdrawal.

Their appearance came after a gut-wrenching video where they described the moment they learned they had lost their sons and daughters until the moment Biden checked his watch when their bodies were returned to the U.S. The crowd chanted 'never again' in between their speeches at the Milwaukee convention.



'While Joe Biden has refused to recognize their sacrifice, Donald Trump spent six hours in Bedminster with us,' said Christy Shamblin, mother-in-law to late Sgt. Nicole Ghee. 'He allowed us to grieve.

He allowed us to remember our heroes.' Shamblin said Trump spoke to the families 'in a way that made us feel understood.' 'Donald Trump carried the weight for a few hours with me,' Shamblin said.

'For the first time since Nicole's death I felt like I wasn't alone in my grief.' Trump remained standing as the family members took to the stage to speak. As Herman Lopez, father of the late Hunter Lopez, read off each of the 13 names which he sai.
