A MAJOR Marks and Spencer store in a popular Scottish seaside resort is on track to open next year. Largs in one of the many locations the retailer has planned to invest in. And the food hall has recently been granted a licence to sell alcohol, STV News reports. A motion to grant the application from Councillor John Bell was seconded by Councillor Jean McClung and was passed unanimously at the licensing board meeting at North Ayrshire Council .

And it is expected to open mid-2025. A total of 50 jobs, part-time and full-time, will be created, with the majority recruited locally.
