Article content Eliana has been a peer tutor at JP since Grade 10, and this inspired her to co-found the Revise Club. In it, she and a friend plan lessons and offer guided reviews for Math 30-1. She also enjoys volunteering in the school with the Rebel Leaders, and being a part of the Jasper Place Cultural Club.

They have helped plan and run many of our school’s cultural events, such as the celebration for Diwali or this year’s Culture Fair. She is also one of JP’s representatives on the Edmonton Public Schools Student Senate, and has worked with others to organize a panel discussing mental health in the transition to post-secondary, and to create the first Division-wide Club Summit. Her involvement has led to her receiving the John Cameron Changing Lives Award.

She plans to complete a BSc in Nursing at the University of Alberta. Commencement address: On behalf of the graduating class, thank you to the teachers who cared. To the ones who would stay after school or hand out candy during quizzes or smile at us in the hallways.

The ones that showed us how to fix cars or cut hair or build tables. Thank you to the coaches who pushed our teams through battles not only on football fields and basketball courts, but also during concerts, plays, and skills competitions. Thank you to the counsellors and assistant principals for always having their doors wide open, and thank you to Ms.

Backs for making this school feel safe. Thank you to the families, so many of whom are here today.
