From one step to another, the Ministry of Environment has been continually progressing toward a cleaner Cambodia. This key message is confirmed by Eang Sophalleth, the Minister of Environment, at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Solar-Powered Irrigation System for Cambodia’s First Regional Nursery at the Ministry of Environment on June 13, 2024. According to the Ministry of Environment, the Minister for the Environment welcomed the contribution made by Cambodian Coca-Cola in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment for a clean Cambodia.
This is the second campaign following the successful “I do not use plastic bags” one, which has garnered the support of more than 8 million Cambodians. The next step is surely successful and applauded by all Cambodians, as 114 communes/Sangkat have actively participated in Cambodia’s clean-up activities out of sincere and loving hearts. This robust movement is emerging in the hearts of all people, showcasing Cambodia’s beauty and cleanliness on the international stage under the slogan ‘Cambodia is clean, Khmer can do’.
In this regard, we invite all international guests to visit Cambodia, where tourists will be greeted with smiles from the sincere hearts of the Cambodian people. The country is committed to price transparency, ensuring no exploitation or cheating tourists. Additionally, visiting Cambodia or home tourists contributes to improving the livelihoods of the Cambodian people.
