Eamonn Holmes did not host his GB News breakfast show with Isabel Webster on Monday morning. Over the weekend, it was confirmed that he and Ruth Langsford are divorcing after 14 years of marriage. A source close to the Belfast broadcaster said he would address the split from his former This Morning co-host, telling The Sun: "Eamonn is always frank on camera and knows it will be odd for him to discuss the day's news without mentioning his split so he'll say a few words.

Focusing on work will be a welcome distraction." However, as today is a Bank Holiday in the UK, Eamonn and his co-presenter Isabel are not working.



Instead, Michael Portillo and Nana Akua hosted the breakfast show. Eamonn is scheduled to appear on GB News tomorrow morning, but Ruth will not appear on ITV's Loose Women this week. Insiders close to the now former couple say their TV work took them in different directions but they wanted to keep things amicable.

One source told MailOnline: "Ruth and her team have been telling their friends to look out for the comments, which they are planning to put on social media. "It's a very sorry tale. They are both so loved by the British public, they won over so many people on This Morning which they hosted for mor.
