Irish actress Sarah O’Connor can’t wait to spend this summer in her native Dublin playing an iconic theatre role. Originally from Lucan, Sarah has enjoyed an incredible career in theatre thus far. She appeared on our TV screens as a finalist in RTE talent show Fame: The Musical, before making her West End debut in Mamma Mia! in 2011.

Following that, Sarah made a name for herself in the West End, starring in mega productions such as Les Miserables, The Commitments, Evita, Waitress and Frozen. But now, she has landed her arguably most iconic role to date, playing Glinda in Wicked. Sarah tells RSVP Live: “It’s quite emotional I think. I’m so excited, I just want to take it all in and enjoy all the moments leading up to it. I know the audience already love it so I just want to get the new people in who may not have seen it yet and get the newcomers in, then maybe get people who have already seen it to come back a second, third, or maybe 27th time – who knows! “I’m excited to see what the audience is going to be like, especially for a long run.
