The team behind Dr Michael Mosley's The Fast 800 have shared the expert's top five tips for losing weight, avoiding dementia and improving your overall health The dieting plan inspired by the late Dr Michael Mosley has shared the expert's top tips for weight loss. In a blog post this week, the Fast 800 urged those looking to lose weight to heed the advice of the guru who tragically passed away earlier this year while holidaying on the Greek island of Syma. Dr Mosley encountered difficulties while hiking alone in high temperatures and his body was discovered following an extensive search.
The Fast 800 is a diet based off Dr Mosley's book of the same name. In a fresh update, the Fast 800 website paid tribute to Dr Mosley's 'incredible legacy', expressing its commitment to honour him by continuing 'to inspire a movement for better health'. It added: "We will honour his legacy by reflecting on the lessons Michael taught us, covering topics including food, sleep, fasting, exercise, and the secrets to leading a happy life.
". The site outlined five key lessons from Dr Mosley related to intermittent fasting, claiming they could transform the lives of anyone who tried them. It stated: "There are many different types of intermittent fasting, but there are two main forms in particular that Dr Mosley advocated: time-restricted eating (TRE) and the 5:2 diet.
The latter is an eating pattern Dr Mosley discovered when he reversed his type 2 diabetes back in 2012. It involves eating just 800.
