A relative of slain nurse and beauty queen contestant Sadna Gangoo urged the public not to judge her, but to send prayers and positivity to her grieving family members. This message was Cintra Ramjattan, an aunt of Gangoo who spoke on behalf of the family at her funeral service held on Sunday at her home on Mohammed Drive, Fairfield Estate in Princes Town. Gangoo, 44, a mother of one and grandmother of two, was shot in the head on Wednesday by a gunman who ambushed her as she was about to enter her vehicle parked near the health facility where she had just finished her shift.
She fell in a culvert next to her BMW car parked on Circular Road, as the shooter entered a Nissan Tiida waiting nearby and it sped off along the Naparima Mayaro Road. Homicide detectives are seeking to authenticate several explicit videos that were leaked online and went viral since Gangoo’s killing. At the scene of her murder near the health facility on Wednesday, three of her relatives said they knew why she was targeted, but declined to speak for fear of also becoming victims.
Detectives of the Homicide Bureau of Region III are continuing investigations. Ramjattan choked back tears as she spoke about her niece, whom she remembered as a wonderful mother and a kind-hearted, generous and ambitious person. She said the family had been in deep mourning since her death and needed support, positivity and prayer.
"Today we are here with heavy hearts for Sadna to be lying in a casket today. We are not God, .
