A gastro pub with rave reviews on TripAdvisor is set to go under the hammer for the second time this year. The George in the picturesque village of Alstonefield, near Leek, was previously listed by auctioneers Bond Wolfe back in May but was withdrawn at the last minute. Now the owners have listed the country pub known for its exceptional food for auction once again next month with a guide price of £645,000.
It has previously been named in the Michelin Guide, Harden's and the Good Food Guide, and last year was awarded three AA Rosettes.
