A doctor has explained the medical reason for Selena Gomez's 'round' face. Dr Sermed Mezher took to his social media channels as the gorgeous Hollywood actress and American singer uploaded a recent video of herself applying her own makeup, Rare Beauty, to her face. Dr Sermed Mezher is an award winning doctor, working in London, and is published academic author - his qualifications include MBChB (Hons) MRes.

On his YouTube account, which boasts of 216,000 subscribers, his bio reads: "On a mission to make health simple with high quality scientific content." In a video, Dr Mezher began by saying: "So many people commented after she posted this video. I personally think she looks great.

Lupus, also known as systemic lupus erythematosus, is a chronic condition that can lead to joint pain, skin rashes, and fatigue.

While there is no cure, early treatment can help alleviate symptoms.
