Brownsville Diane C. “Penni” Durinzi, 72, of Brownsville, formerly of Republic, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, in Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 14, 1952, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Martha Yolich Krevinko.

Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Yolich. Penni was a very active member of the former Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church of Republic, where she led in the adoration. She currently attended The Historic Church of St.



Peter in Brownsville. Penni was an artist and painted many, many portraits and renderings of art in her lifetime, including a beautiful masterpiece of Holy Rosary R.C.

Church. She also designed and painted postcards for Nemacolin Woodlands. Penni was a seamstress for proms, homecomings and weddings, and she also made floral arrangements out of her home for years.

Her life was full of art. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Penni was a “softball wife” and a “baseball mom.

” She loved all of the Pittsburgh sports teams, and was a huge Penn State Nittany Lions fan and even had a dog that she named “Nittany”. Penni is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, William F. “Bamsie” Durinzi; her two sons, Dane A.

Durinzi and wife Elizabeth, and Douglas F. Durinzi and wife Faye; four grandchildren, Emma, Della, Anna and Dayton; sister, Marie “Cookie” Bezego and husband Charles; sisters-in-law, Linda Prezel and husband Tom, Beth Williams .
