STEPHEN A. Smith was left in stitches after a brutal comment by Shannon Sharpe on Tuesday's First Take. The popular ESPN sports talk show had been going through a tense debate when Sharpe opted to lighten the mood.

As a divisive discussion surrounding New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers ' absence from mandatory minicamp came to a close, NFL Hall of Fame tight end Sharpe took a brutal dig at guest Dan Orlovsky. The former quarterback appeared virtually on the show, wearing a blue and white checkered short-sleeve shirt showing his chain underneath. And it seems Sharpe wasn't too keen on his colleague's look.

"Dan, don't you come back here looking like a fast food manager with that short-sleeved shirt on," he commented as host Molly Qerim lined up a commercial break. Smith burst into laughter as Orlovsky immediately repeatedly called out "Hold on!" as he attempted to defend his look. However, as Smith and Sharpe continued to laugh and mock Orlovsky, Qerim insisted they had to cut to a break.

"That's freaking bullc**p!" Orlovsky said after angrily slamming the desk. Despite her best attempt to stick to the script, Qerim couldn't help but note, "That was hilarious," ahead of the break. Sharpe's comment quickly drew responses from viewers on X, formerly known as Twitter .

"Telling @danorlovsky7 'Don't come back out here looking like a fast food manager with that shirt on' ...

the energy is great on the show this morning," one fan tweeted along with a series of laughing emojis. .
