In continuing the legacy of Czapek ’s Complicité Stardust and Harmony Blue editions, the Swiss independent watchmaker has unveiled a new and exquisite horological offering: the Place Vendôme Complicité Stardust Cobalt. Encased in white gold, the 41.8mm-sized timepiece features a gray openworked dial with a double escapement regulator.
“The real beauty of the idea lies in this way of expressing the double escapement, with the differential at 12 o’clock as a central element, and by bringing the mechanism to the dial side and open-working everything, we would also have a beautiful kinetic sculpture,” notes Xavier de Roquemaurel, Czapek’s CEO. The precise complication appears on the lower register, tinging the sleek watch face with a touch of gold, while its jewels and blued indices and hands enrich the dial. At its core, the time-teller is capable of running continuously for 72 hours — a specification provided by its manual-winding Calibre 8.
Priced at 85,000 CHF (around $92,919 USD), the Place Vendôme Complicité Stardust Cobalt is limited to 100 examples and is available through Czapek and its authorized dealers worldwide. A post shared by CZAPEK Genève (@czapekgeneve).
