The escalating cost of living crisis and the state of the worldwide make it a Herculean task for anyone to rent a property, let alone buy one. It's hardly surprising that an increasing number of people are resorting to alternative measures - including tiny homes and vehicle conversions. The pair, who work as Japanese teachers, transformed an old school bus, which set them back ($6,000), into a snug space where they live with their dog Oscar. Sharing their journey on social media, the Canadian couple revealed exactly how they created the space and admitted they had no prior DIY experience. They have showcased their stunning space in a series of photos, explaining it took roughly two years of hard graft for it to feel complete.

They've now been residing in it for three years. When quizzed about how much they'd forked out on it, Mandy told that besides "a lot of sweat blood and tears", the entire project had cost approximately £14,355 ($25,000) - this includes nearly £6,000 ($10,000) splashed out on solar panels for their energy. Chatting about the DIY overhaul, she revealed: "We had never built anything in our lives, and also had no money.
